ENHANCED SECURITY MEASURES UNDERTAKEN OVER ASANSOL DIVISION FOR PASSENGER SAFETY

Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has intensified security arrangements across important stations of the Division to ensure safe and seamless travel for passengers.

Baggage screening at station entry points has been strengthened with the deployment of modern X-ray machines and hand-held detectors. Passenger luggage is being thoroughly checked to prevent carriage of unauthorized or suspicious items. These measures are designed to enhance preventive security and boost passenger confidence.

Joint teams of Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police are maintaining a visible presence in station premises. Regular foot patrols, checks on platforms and circulating areas, as well as train escorts are being undertaken to deter anti-social elements and reinforce passenger safety. Train escorting, including deployment of lady RPF personnel, is being provided in sensitive trains to ensure safety and security of women passengers.

The Division has also intensified its drive against trespassing across railway tracks. Awareness campaigns are being organised to sensitise passengers and local residents about the risks of unauthorised track crossing. Surveillance has been tightened at vulnerable points to prevent any untoward incident.

Random checks are being conducted in trains and at stations to curb ticketless travel, touting and unlawful activities. Passengers are requested to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to railway rules in the interest of safe and convenient travel.

RPF of Asansol Division, working in close coordination with GRP, continues to focus on creating a safe travel environment and urges passengers to remain vigilant and extend support in maintaining order and security across railway premises.
